Discover Your Writing DNA

  • Course Description:

    This hands-on workshop will lay emphasis on freelance writing skills so that students can start using their writing skills immediately being where they are and also equip them to write feature articles across various platforms and subjects. During the course, they will be exposed to travel and culture stories, profiles, trend pieces, personal narratives etc. By the end of two weeks, they will produce at least one high-quality and publishable article and will be well-informed about the world of media and publishing.

    Smita Pranav Kothari

    She has Masters in Liberal Arts (ALM) in Journalism from Harvard University. She has been a freelance writer for Forbes, Conde Nast, Caravan, Reader's Digest, Times of India, Travel+Leisure, Femina, Chicken Soup for the Soul etc. Smita has also edited a few books and taught journalism courses. Currently, she is heading the case study centre at MICA.

  • Course Description:

    This course promises to be relevant to all future professions by:

    • Focusing on the skills and capabilities that artificial intelligence has trouble replicating, i.e., understanding, motivating, and interacting with human beings
    • Learning self and relationship management

    Students enrolling for this course will need to carry a laptop. They are advised to bring any musical instrument they play.

    Aparna Jain

    Aparna is an executive coach and counsellor. She helps young adults deal with their anxieties and fears enabling them to achieve their full potential. Trained at the Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Sciences (ISABS), she is certified in NLP, EMDR therapy, Bach Flower Remedies and is an international “Heal Your Life®” Workshop Leader based on Louise Hay’s philosophy.

Be a Maker of Internet of Things

  • Course Description:

    Designed for the students who want to learn more about the emerging world of the Internet of Things (IoT) and like to tinker and make things with their own hands. The objective of the course is to create the right conditions for students to explore the Maker within them. Students will ideate, build and deploy working prototypes for real-world applications. They will also learn how to design animations, make fun interactive games and code educational projects.

Shooting for the Stars: Astrophysics & Astronomy

  • Course Description:

    This course is an in-depth introduction to the universe and how we earthlings attempt to understand it. In the course, the students will explore the universe by understanding the tools required to explore the universe. The course will expose students to cutting edge topics like quantum mechanics and astrobiology along with the classics like relativity, exoplanets and so on.

    Sakhee Bhure

    Sakhee Bhure has majored in Astronomy and Astrophysics at Florida Institute of Technology, where she was a Resident Assistant, and worked towards making or campus and department more sustainable. Currently, she’s a first-year Master's Degree student at the same university.
